Due to the gradual exhaustion of global resources, a wave of environmental consciousness is spreading throughout the electronics industry. Since switching power supplies play an important role in efficient energy usage, Mean Well has introduced the new 200 W AC/DC enclosed type power supplies with high efficiency and low no load power consumption. The HRP(G)-200 series accompany the HRP-75(75 W), HRP-100(100 W), HRP/HRPG-150(150 W), HRP/HRPG-300(300 W) and HRP/HRPG-600(600 W) which have already been launched. The HRP(G) family is a high-end product with built-in active PFC to fulfil the requirement of EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current.
HRP-200(basic models) and HRPG-200 (complete function models) are designed for fitting in 1U low profile (38 mm) installations. With efficiencies up to 89%, the units can be cooled by free air convection from -30 to 40°C ambient temperature under full load conditions. In addition, the series is equipped with 300 VAC input surge immunity for 5 seconds, which can reduce the damage caused by unstable AC inputs. Protection functions include short circuit, overload (constant current mode), over voltage and over temperature.
The PSUs are equipped with remote On/Off control and 5 V/0,3 A standby output to achieve the goal of no load power consumption less than 0,5 W. Suitable applications include general electronics, factory automation, LED moving signs and test and measurement equipment.
