Durag's D-FL 200 volume flowmeter is an ultrasonic measuring system operating on the differential transit time principle. In situ measurement is directly in the flue gas flow. According to recent European legislation, pollutant emissions of industrial plants must be monitored, and for mass determination of the pollutants, the exhaust gas flow must be measured.
The D-FL 200 provides continuous measurement of the flow velocity and the flow rate of the exhaust gas. The measurement system is designed for flow monitoring below the dew point and for aggressive gases. The sensors are completely de-coupled from the gas by means of purge air.
High pre-scaleable limit values are indicated immediately, permitting necessary interventions in the plant's control system in order to comply with prescribed emission values. The transducers continuously transmit and receive impulses, while the gas flow alters the transit time. The time upstream is reduced and the time downstream is prolonged. The system meets IP65 protection requirements, and the length of the measuring range is up to 8 m with a maximum operational temperature of 200ºC. Durag is represented locally by OEN Enterprises.
