Versatile transmitters for intelligent measurement solutions.
Transmitters are an integral part of on-line measurement systems used to monitor and control industrial processes. Mettler Toledo offers a comprehensive range of transmitters to the chemical and other industries for pH, DO, conductivity, resistivity, TOC, dissolved ozone, turbidity, CO2 and flow measurement.
The Ingold M400 and M420 multiparameter transmitter series feature advanced ISM (intelligent sensor management) technology offering better process control, superior performance and reliable measurement solutions. Mettler Toledo’s digital ISM concept makes it easier to operate process analytical systems from initial installation to maintenance, right through to sensor exchange. Measurement equipment with ISM technology significantly reduces the maintenance costs of loops, while increasing the safety of the production process.
The company’s new digital sensors feature ISM technology for easy maintenance and enhanced process safety. ISM-enabled sensors incorporate the iSense Asset Suite functionality, allowing control of processes with realtime status information from the sensor sent to the transmitters to provide the user with continuous performance monitoring and early fault detection. The DLI (dynamic lifetime indicator) warns the user when the sensor needs to be replaced and the ACT (adaptive calibration timer) indicates when the next calibration is needed. Thanks to the mixed-mode input functionality, the M400 and M420 transmitters accept any conventional analogue or ISM sensor of choice.
Mettler Toledo’s Process Ingold M400 transmitter series offers a single-channel unit and pH/ORP, pH ISFET, oxygen, dissolved carbon dioxide and conductivity measurements. The M400 transmitter with multiparameter capabilities, offers versatility and flexibility, and is the state-of-the-art transmitter for the most demanding applications. The Plug and Measure function with ISM technology allows the system to be configured for measurement within seconds, thus simplifying commissioning and installation.
The M420 2-wire transmitter series features the most advanced measurement technology (ISM) for operation in hazardous areas for loop-powered applications, and provides the highest level of process safety for pH, oxygen and conductivity measurements.
The M420 transmitter development was focused on a rugged design (IP67, NEMA 4X) and resistance to the most difficult operation conditions. The M420 stands out for its superior operational reliability in chemical, pharmaceutical or gas phase applications. It can be configured to suit custom applications by adding a second analogue output or via the extended 21 CFR Part 11 conformity with the AuditTrail or trace oxygen measurement functionality, and the HART communication ability.
