Titration quality control in the pharmaceutical industry.
Alongside efficacy and safety, the quality of new and marketed drug products is one of the predominant requirements regulated by drug governing bodies such as the FDA. Quality control laboratories have to ensure constant reproducible characteristics of drugs. The flexibility of the METTLER TOLEDO Titration Excellence T90 titrator helps to solve this challenge efficiently and safely.
Standard analytical procedures for individual pharmaceutical compounds, active ingredients and auxiliary reagents comprise time-intensive sample preparation steps and require accurate determination of titre and blank values of solvents. Efficient and secure performance of these analyses is crucial in order to make it operator-independent, thereby ensuring the integrity of test results.
With the powerful method editor of the T90 it is an easy task to integrate different individual methods into one job for sequential processing. Together with the Rondo 60 sample changer the operator is able to fully automate multiple determinations by simply placing beakers on the sample rack. Multiple preparative steps (eg, extended reaction times in closed beakers) can easily be integrated into such a job. Capacity can be doubled by running the same or a different test in parallel – the T90 is ideal for this. Data integrity and operational security is ensured by the protection of methods against undesired changes and the allocation of a personalised ‘home screen’ to each user. Short cuts can be set up here to enable the start of jobs with a single touch.
The T90 combines extreme flexibility with utmost user-friendliness to easily cope with complex analysis tasks required in the pharmaceutical industry. The automation of various steps in the titration analysis significantly improves the work efficiency and ensures accurate analyses of high precision. The T90 titrator helps to translate good manufacturing practice (GMP) and good laboratory (GLP) principles into daily routine.
