Tyco International has recently acquired Scott/Bacharach, a joint venture between Scott Technologies and Bacharach Holdings. Scott/Bacharach also comprised of the former holdings of Exidyne Instrumentation Technologies (EIT).
With the consolidation of resources from three significant gas detection companies, into Tyco International, Scott/Bacharach has become one of the largest manufacturers of fixed and portable toxic and combustible gas, heat, and flame detectors in the world and joins the world's largest manufacturer, installer and provider of fire protection systems.
As the only company to manufacture their own primary gas detection sensors, Scott/Bacharach are able to supply equipment for virtually any gas application. The introduction of the 'Rock Solid' primary sensor has provided the range with the most stable zero drift available in any system with virtually no effect from temperature and humidity changes.
Nonintrusive zero and span allows swift calibration and ensures no ingress of gas into the electronics of the transmitters thus reducing the risk of corrosion and premature failure. Replacing the sensor is a simple unscrewing of the end-cap and replacing with a new sensor. No alignment pins, no opening of the transmitter and no further set-ups are required.
The Scott/Bacharach line of detection products includes fixed and portable, toxic and combustible gas detectors, personal protection, fire detection, pump station monitors, wet stack extrusion, pyrolyzer gas and paper tape for ppb measurements. Classifications include explosion proof and intrinsically safe certified by international authorisation standards.
Receiving devices include single, quad and six-channel receivers, alarm stations, multichannel racks (up to 16 systems per rack), digital gas monitoring and control station and standard annunciation devices.
