A new, climate compensated electronics version of the Vegabar range of pressure transmitters has been released by Vega, a leading manufacturer of level and pressure instrumentation.
Vega Instruments’ John Groom says, “This version has been specially designed for applications in the paper, food, dairy and beverage industries, where pressure measurement is often plagued by condensate forming in the open ceramic pressure measuring cell.”
Since the formation of condensate cannot be prevented, a solution was achieved using two absolute pressure sensors. The relative pressure is then calculated directly in the electronics of the pressure transmitter.
The Vegabar pressure sensors are plics rated, which makes set-up, maintenance and service so much simpler. Plics is a modular system which allows the engineer to combine the performance features he needs to solve the measuring problem. Once set up, the wiring and adjustment concept can be applied to any other application and even to other measuring principles.
