Water is an important chemical compound and is used for most processes in industry and trade as it has many varied uses. It can be used as a solvent for washing and cleaning procedures, it can form the basic ingredient for beverages such as beer or soft drinks or it can be a hazardous factor if not stringently monitored as in compact disk manufacturing or in the running of high voltage transformers.
Water analysis is being performed constantly all around the globe for monitoring and quality assurance. Officials of all levels and their laboratories oversee the control of every water-based aspect affecting our lives concerning groundwater, tap water, waste water and natural bodies of water from ensuring our drinking water is safe, to protecting us from water’s potentially destructive effects. In addition, all kinds of industrial laboratories check the quality of various water samples from sources such as steam generation, circulating systems, desalination, sterilisation, deionisation or waste discharge.
Mettler Toledo’s Excellence Line Titration systems are fully automated to determine water quality parameters such as conductivity, pH, hardness, alkalinity and ions such as fluoride, chloride and nitrate.
The Excellence Line Titration systems are the ideal platform to setup a fully automated test system for water analysis, resulting in increased sample throughput and productivity. The state-of-the-art titrator follows a complex method from sample preparation to final result. It doses the titrant, monitors the signal, calculates the result, activates the sample changer and rinses the electrodes without any operator intervention.
The Excellence Line offer modern touch-screen operation, sample changers and intelligent methods for multiburette titrations. The titration software allows for automation of results and data transfer to a LIMS or database.
