Endress+Hauser has announced the release of the Proline Promag 55H for metering tasks in the food and beverage industry. The universal meter is the ideal tool for accurate measurement in challenging applications, providing reliable readings in fluids containing entrained air, vegetable matter and fibres and even in applications with severely fluctuating flows or low velocities.
The Promag 55H meets the most stringent hygienic demands placed upon it by the FDA, 3-A and EHEDG thanks to its stainless steel design, void free construction and specially designed silicon, EPDM and viton sealing systems. The unit also features a metal reinforced PFA liner which allows the gauge to be cleaned using acids and alkalis (CIP) or super heated steam (SIP) without affecting the accuracy.
The meter features a 4-line display, with touch control for an easy to operate user interface, and has a host of functions including, volume flow, solids flow and advanced diagnostics and electrode cleaning (ECC). The extended diagnostic functionality adds to the transparency in process tracking, and ensures cost-saving maintenance and maximised operation and cost dependability. The Promag is also available with a harsh environment sensor option, further increasing the versatility of the product.
The measurement system is available with a number of process connectors that include tri-clamps, flanges, threaded fasteners, weld nipples, internal threads and hose connectors.
The Proline Promag 55H meets all EMC requirements according to the IEC 61000 and NAMUR and conforms to EU and ACMA directives. The product is also EHEDG and SIL 2 certified as well as having 3-A, PED and CRN certification.
