Phoenix Contact’s FLT-CP-PLUS protectors are compact, application-oriented lightning protectors of EN type 1. Suitable installation blocks are available for all established applications. The pluggable spark gaps combine high performance features such as discharge capacity of up to 100 kA and secondary power supply current elimination capacity of 50 kA. This means that the lightning protector can also be installed in direct proximity to transformer units with short circuit currents up to 50 kA.
The protectors are extremely easy to install and service; during servicing, the protection plugs can simply be removed without altering the installation. Depending on the wiring direction the units can be installed at 180° to simplify installation and avoid unnecessarily long wires.
The mechanical status display on every L-N connector plug makes it possible to check the function directly, and the telecommunications contact can be used to integrate the collective status message from all channels with plant control systems.
