For maintenance and control in applications involving energy saving and environmental protection, Instrotech’s latest product addition is the Panasonic Eco-Power Meter. This 48 x 48 mm, 7 segment display unit covers a wide measuring range with support for four types of dedicated current transformers – 5/50 A, 100 A, 250 A and 400 A. The unit is offered as a single-phase two-wire system, single-phase three-wire system or three-phase three-wire system.
The configurable units operate from a 220 V a.c. voltage supply
The user-programmable Eco-Power Meter’s basic functions can be expanded for easier operation. Instantaneous electrical power display is possible in addition to an integration to determine total electrical energy consumption. This means the user can verify instantaneous power consumption while monitoring phase voltages and currents.
The built-in timer allows measurement of the periods that the system is consuming power outside pre-set limits. Precise power measurement is possible to two decimal places and the display is configurable from 6 to 9 digits. An RS485 communications port is supplied as standard allowing connection of the power meters to a PLC.
