Berthold Technologies has introduced the Micro-Polar for determining concentration, density and moisture content using microwave technology. Energy lost in polarising the water molecules changes the characteristics of the radiation. Analysis of the resulting electromagnetic profile is used to determine the water content of an emulsion or solution.
The measurement can take place in-line using a lined measuring tube and flow-cell, alternatively samples can be taken for laboratory analysis using a dip tube. Practically any liquid product can be analysed, for example milk or gypsum. Advanced microwave engineering guarantees reliable, precise and stable measurement. The microwaves used are of very low energy and are thereby non-harmful to humans and the environment.
The large graphic display, the alphanumeric keyboard and automatic calibration enable simple and fast start-up.
