Moisture analyser with fast response

The Ametek Model 3050 OLV consists of a quartz crystal sensor coupled to a sampling system developed for accurate moisture measurement. When voltage is applied across the sensor electrodes a fixed frequency oscillation occurs. The sensor faces are coated with a hygroscopic polymer. As the amount of moisture absorbed by the polymer varies, the change in mass produces a corresponding change in oscillation frequency. The technology provides fast response to both increasing and decreasing moisture levels.
Using an integral moisture generator that is NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) referenced, the unit verifies measurement accuracy. During the verification process the analyser makes any necessary minor corrections to its calibration automatically. If a severe calibration problem is encountered the analyser provides an alarm.
Standard system configuration software is supplied, which provides a graphical user interface for setting up analyser parameters. To view data from multiple analysers, Ametek System 2000 software can be purchased as an option.
