The hydrostatic measuring principle offers many advantages for determining the levels of water in deep wells or basins, or wastewater in sewerage plants. Vega has produced the Vegawell range of suspension pressure transmitters which are suitable for these applications. The Vegawell 72, with its suspended cable available in lengths from 0,4 m to 550 m, is ideal for lowering down filter wells. The instrument is certified for use at sea with approval for use in on-board tanks.
Vegawell 72 pressure transmitter
The transducer measures the pressure of the water column (from -1 to +25 bar) and from this level is determined. A capillary tube in the connection cable joins the sensor with the atmosphere and ensures that fluctuating outside barometric pressure does not influence the measured result.
The ceramic measuring cell is robust and water flow aids self-cleaning, preventing premature mineral deposits from causing measurement errors. The transducer is made of stainless steel and the cable is protected by PE, PUR or PFEP coatings.
