Automation specialist Endress+Hauser has enhanced its range of clamp-on flowmeters with the launch of the Prosonic Flow 91W. The new model is designed to meet the requirements for hot and cold water applications, but unlike existing products it is also a viable commercial alternative to conventional water service flowmeters on pipes sizes below DN300. The meter is applicable to most pipe systems used for water services including mild steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, PVC, PE and GRP.
Endress+Hauser’s Prosonic Flow 91W is a cost effective non-contact measuring solution
The transmitter offers an intelligent and compact design that, in combination with an advanced tooling package, supports safe and easy use in all facets of operation, from planning and installation to commissioning and maintenance. The tooling package consists of the sizing software program Applicator Sizing, the plant asset management tool FieldCare based on FDT technology and the test and simulation tool FieldCheck.
The tooling package enables the user to obtain optimal performance from the transmitter with minimal effort. The Applicator Sizing software provides actual sensor spacing based on specific application data, which allows for off-site preparation of the mechanical installation. The spacing information is provided to the installer who then simply needs to mount the sensor installation set accordingly. A mounting ruler supports precise sensor positioning, which results in accurate flow measurement.
FieldCare is Endress+Hauser's FDT based Plant Asset Management tool, which facilitates remote configuration and status monitoring of all intelligent field devices, including the Prosonic Flow 91W via the HART interface.
