Programmable industrial router
September 2007
Fieldbus & Industrial Networking
The 4002 is the most comprehensive model in eWON's range of programmable industrial routers. It has up to three transparent and configurable serial to Ethernet gateways allowing remote maintenance, service and management of PLCs and other devices via the Internet or a direct PPP link via GSM or PSTN.
The 4002 is easy to install and configure while offering user-friendly web pages for its configuration. It is secure in operation as it meets the toughest industrial standards and has restricted access features, required in open networks.
Working standalone or as part of an integrated solution to centrally manage automated applications in different locations, the 4002 can operate completely autonomously on remote sites. With the 4002, the user can add centralised management capabilities to existing automated solutions, collect statistical data for analysis, follow up on production trends and be notified of events and incidents. The user is able to interact with the production process from anywhere at anytime using his own customised web HMI.
The 4002 features a TCP/IP router, embedded firewall, three serial links connectivity, remote control, scripting, reporting tools, alarm notification, six analog inputs, nine digital inputs, three digital outputs and data logging.
The eWON 4002 can be used in combination with PLCs using Modbus RTU-TCP, UniTelWay-XIP, DF1-EIP, MPI protocols as well as those using the ASCII convention. The 4002 also supports standard software tools such as Internet Explorer, FTP, SNMP Manager and Mail Recipient.
