The Hach Evita (Danfoss) analysers for nutrients, ammonia, phosphate and nitrate have several unique features to ensure precise, internationally accepted measurement with minimum maintenance.
The Evita Insitu 5100 analysers have been designed to measure actual process conditions, there are no transfer pumps or sample lines that can affect the true reading. On the bottom of the sensor there is a replacement patented anti-fouling ion exchange membrane. This membrane will not allow any biological growth build up and will only allow a transfer of ions to the sample fluid. This ensures that a clean sample is taken and allows maintenance-free measurement for a long time. There are no filters to clean and no contaminated liquid enters the analyser. Maintenance is limited to 15 min per 10 weeks for membrane and reagent pack exchange and calibration.
Self diagnostics alerts to measurement error and any malfunction of the analyser and the Hart enabled 2-wire; 4-20 mA output allows parameter diagnostics and trending up to 1 km distance. As the self-cleaning ball floats on the surface, it eliminates sample conditioning and sample preparation that is needed for other nutrient analysers.
