The new 5100 series Hall-effect portable Gaussmeters from PREI Instrumentation incorporates digital signal process technology and can measure either 0 to 30 kG (or 3 T) with a basic accuracy of 1%, or 0-20 kG (or 2 T) with a basic accuracy of 2%.
Both models are battery operated and their key features include auto-zero, min/max/peak hold, auto range and relative mode. The model 5180 can also display amps/meter, has a 3 V FS analog output and a USB communications port.
The built-in software eliminates the need for complex calibration procedures, and user prompts on the LCD allow fast, simple pushbutton operation. All models come in a hard carrying case with a detachable transverse probe, zero gauss chamber, batteries and instruction manual. Axial probes and low-field probes are available options.
The 5100 series Gaussmeters are suitable for use in both sensitive laboratory environments and rugged industrial settings.
