Citect signs Nexa integration partner in New Zealand

November 2006 News

Citect welcomes Singer of New Zealand as a Nexa integration partner. Nexa is Citect's specialised facilities management software system. Singer has Citect Gold CIP partner status and is the latest Nexa building automation partner in New Zealand. The agreement with Singer also represents a milestone in Citect's New Zealand expansion plans, having opened an office in Auckland earlier this year.

Singer is a dynamic, rapidly growing company with expertise in power generation, electrical design and build, electrical maintenance, automation, and electrical and mechanical building services. Singer is also broadening its offering to provide clients with a total building automation and building management solution. Partnering with Citect, in particular using the Nexa solution, forms a key part of Singer's expansion and diversification plan.

"Customers in New Zealand are seeking a total solution to their facility management needs. We have always been a strong provider of building electrical services. By partnering with Citect, we are able to offer clients a full solution comprising a realtime facility management solution in addition to building systems installation and a high standard of electrical servicing," says Jeff McLaren, managing director of Singer.

New Zealand is a key market for Nexa in the Oceania region. There is a burgeoning building automation market with particularly strong demand for facility power monitoring and energy management. The partnership with Singer Automation formalises an existing business relationship between Singer and Citect and will enhance both Citect and Singer's ability to serve this growing market.

Ken Holder, global director for Nexa, welcomes the new partnership, "I am pleased to welcome Singer as a Nexa integration partner. Singer is a fast growing, highly respected organisation that is currently expanding operations in the building automation market. I look forward to a greater presence for Nexa in New Zealand with the assistance of Singer."
