In situ ZrO2 monitoring in hot and dusty applications
October 2006
Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring
Environmental Process Analytics offers a new range of Zirconium Oxygen Analysers for high temperature and dust loads in excess of 10 mg/m³. Manufactured by MRU in Germany, a full range is offered from 0 to 25% in steps of 0,5%. The OMS 420 range of Zirconium Oxygen probes are in situ type direct measurements. The range offers very high accuracies matched with robust enclosures to suit varied environments. Housings range from IP65, IP66 to EEXD for hazardous areas applications. All ranges and responses are freely adjustable according to application requirements via pushbutton selection. Options include high temperature to 1700°C as well as automatic calibration and purge facility. A variation of probes are available according to application. The transmitter is replaceable without removing the probe from the stack.
Physical characteristics of the analyser are:
Power supply: 100 to 230 V a.c., 0,7 to 0,46 A.
Ambient temperature: -10 to 70°C.
Process temperature: high temperatures up to 1700°C.
Measuring range: 0-25% O2.
Resolution: 0,01% O2.
Repeatability: ±1% of measuring range.
Linearity: ±1% of measuring range.
Adjustment: UUser software interface for all parameters.
Output: 4-20 mA, HART and three x potential free configurable relays.
Enclosure ratings: IP65 and EEx options.
Calibration: automatic.
Typical applications include fuel firing, coal or PF, cement kilns, emissions monitoring, combustion control, and furnace monitoring.
