Instrotech is offering magnetic length measurement with digital indication of position values in a mains-independent compact housing for end stop systems with the Magscale MA508.
This SIKO 'electronic ruler' is a functional, low-budget solution, designed to meet demanding measuring tasks. Particularly suitable for use with angle and length stops in the wood, metal and plastic processing industries such as sliding table saws, die bending presses and sheet stamping presses.
The device offers a long battery life of up to 10 years. Display resolution/repeatability and accuracy is 0,1 mm. The compact design allows for convenient integration into customer's limit stop systems - and there is also an additional design for OEM products.
Both magnetic strips and magnetic rings are supplied to serve as the scale for sensing linear or angle data. Features include insensitivity to dust, shavings, humidity, fluids and oils. The strip type is an easy hollow shaft assembly and the ring is a gluing assembly.
Apart from the base model Magscale MA508 (top), the range also includes the MA504 quasi-absolute version with metric and decimal-inch display and the MA503 (bottom) quasi-absolute magnetic display with decimal and fraction-inch function.
