The Oliver 6502 is a portable 12 V d.c. battery powered diesel smoke monitor for testing of vehicle smoke emissions. This category B smoke meter is suitable for testing on class 4,5,6 and 7 vehicles (light and heavy duty). Dual measurements allow measurements in optical density k (m-1) and Hartridge Smoke Units -HSUs or % opacity.
The 6502 comes standard with built in printer and remote handset for easy one-man operation. As opposed to most units on the market the 6502 has barometric pressure compensation as well as over and under pressure protection. The device does not require any computers or additional equipment for operation and is serviced by local approved personnel.
Approvals include UK MOT, TUV, SIRA, UKAS to name a few, the 6502 is currently used by accredited inspection authorities. Additional highlights include the 6502 being the accredited emissions testing equipment for the recent Total Economy Run. Features include:
