El-o-Matic SA, an Isando-based facility owned by Emerson Process Management Valve Automation Division, recently attained ISO 9001-2000 certification of its quality management system. The entire process was completed in good time, taking only four months from inception, as a strict quality policy and operational controls were already well entrenched within the company. El-o-Matic SA trades under the Emerson Process Management banner and supplies its internationally recognised valve actuator brands such as El-o-Matic and Bettis into the southern African market. Pneumatic and electric rotary actuators, and controls, are supplied in automation packages including the company's in-house quarter-turn valve brands such as Xomox/Tuflin, Sapag-JMC and ACE.

Customer specified and/or free-issued valve brands are also automated and bench-tested by means of SANAS certified testing equipment. Other Emerson Process Management VAD valve actuators available via the local operation are Shafer rotary vane hydraulic and Dantorque sub-sea designs.
