Clamp-on power meter/analyser

Yokogawa's new clamp-on power meter/analyser; simultaneously measures power, harmonics, voltage fluctuations and waveforms, and reliably checks both connections and settings before measurement begins. The CW240 supports four single-phase two-wire systems, two single-phase three-wire systems and even SCOTT connections. This makes the unit a versatile cost effective single-phase and three-phase analyser; with the unique capability of monitoring the earth connection not often considered or catered for with most three-phase measurements.

The CW240 can measure power factors, frequencies, phase angles and reactive/apparent power. Electric energy is measured or calculated from the start of the integration until the end. The maximum power demand and the time it occurs is also displayed.

Each item/order for harmonics from the 1st to the 50th harmonic in numerical values, graphs and vectors can be displayed. The level, content and phase angle of each harmonic for each electrical parameter can be measured and totalised giving THD (total harmonic distortion) of both fundamental and RMS values.

Currents ranging from 200 mA to 3 kA and voltages up to 1 kV are supported. Besides the AC adapter/charger supplied, Nimh pack or six AA batteries may be used, allowing the CW240 to continue to operate even if the supply source is lost.
