Low-cost RH/°C meter/transmitter made in SA

Following the success of its award-winning DTH-Sense-Aire temperature and humidity meter/transmitter, Johannesburg-based Designs Unique has developed a new low cost unit, the Eco-DTH. This model is suitable for applications such as greenhouses, farming, poultry and mining as well as HVAC and pharmaceutical production.

The Eco-DTH comes with additional features and enhanced performance. The compact unit has completely interchangeable sensors that do not require recalibration and it is precision microprocessor controlled, with 4 to 20 mA outputs for external controllers or monitoring. The built-in serial communications allows for portable and laptop computer monitoring, displaying and logging.

Relative humidity and temperature are read simultaneously by the same sensor device and the unit's enhanced accuracy comes with an ultra-fast sensing and reaction time (humidity in approximately 4 seconds). The sensor is not affected by air pressure changes.

The comprehensive software, which is supplied free with the unit, includes user-configurable display and logging features, allowing the user to self-programme the instrument and providing full flexibility of range and scale of measurements and readings. The Eco-DTH carries a limited lifetime warranty, conditional on correct operation.
