PLCs, DCSs & Controllers
Toshiba Industrial Automation products supplies a complete range of PLCs, HMIs and VSDs for the demanding South African market. Keeping abreast of the increasing demand for excellence, Toshiba has made some significant refinements.
On the PLC range, these include a realtime clock calendar function, which allows one to switch on/off at any future point in time. Modular add-on digital and analog input and output cards which clip into place, an RS485 port as well as a programming port to enable one to programme and monitor simultaneously. High-speed processors and counters ensure fast accurate data processing. The Toshiba PLC supports various protocols including Ethernet, Modbus, DeviceNet, etc. Software is supplied free of charge and continuity of supply is backed by one of the world's leading brands.
Complementing this range of micro PLCs is the Toshiba 'S' range of industrial variable speed drives. The latest of which is the S11, with IP54 units complete with circuit breaker and controls and a true 600 V version.
The standard drive includes a basic EMI filter inside, has larger control terminals for ease of wiring as well as a fully functional keypad with built in fault-finding diagnostics, To facilitate easier commissioning and to reduce downtime the drives are configured to be user friendly. It is as simple as connecting the supply and motor. Built-in intelligence and state-of-the-art technology, including various parameter sets for ease of integration, allow it to meet demanding applications in industry.
To supplement the present PWS range of HMI, the new PWS 6000 range will soon be launched. This model will have built in Ethernet capabilities as well as drivers for most makes of modern PLCs. These HMIs have user configurable parameter sets and dynamic object based programming software, which is free of charge.
