The Inline installation system from Phoenix Contact comes with a new Ethernet starter kit, meaning I/O signals can now be integrated quickly, simply and cost-effectively in an Ethernet system. The starter kit consists of a 24 V power supply, an Inline Ethernet bus coupler, an Inline module with four digital inputs, an Inline module with four digital outputs, a Factory Manager Demo-CD as well as an Ethernet starter kit CD.
Industrial Ethernet can be easily set up using the components of the Ethernet starter kit. After the module (pre-mounted on the DIN rail) is wired to the power supply, it is connected with a network cable to the PC or to an existing network system. Once an IP address has been assigned, the Ethernet starter kit is ready for operation. Communication with the control system takes place via the Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Modbus/TCP protocol. Under Modbus/TCP, it is possible to select between ActiveX and DDI. The Web-based management integrated in the Ethernet/IP and Modbus/TCP bus coupler enables simple and convenient diagnosis. The starter kit can be expanded without any problem.
