TUV Africa, an international certification body for safety and quality in various categories, has awarded Endress+Hauser South Africa, DIN EN ISO 9001/2000 certification for its quality management systems in the supply, installation and repair of measurement control equipment for level, flow, pressure, temperature, analytical density and recording and system components.
To achieve certification, Endress+Hauser was required to undergo an audit of internal procedures and processes. All procedures were required to be both trackable and traceable, and had to meet the stringent requirements set by International Standards Organisation's quality management systems. These systems stipulate clearly defined principles such as customer focus, leadership, involvement of people and continual improvement.
"This certification serves to validate Endress+Hauser's consistent delivery of goods and services to international quality standards, and clearly displays our continuous evolution and drive to provide our customers with the best possible service at all times," states Grant Joyce, marketing manager, Endress+Hauser.
"Our ISO certification will be re-assessed on an annual basis. Maintaining compliance will be the responsibility of the entire team, however, being at the front line of customer service, our sales staff have a significant role to play, particularly in areas such as sales channel complaint management," Joyce concludes.
Endress+Hauser has been in South Africa for the past 20 years, and has grown to become one of the country's leading suppliers of measuring instruments and automation solutions for the industrial process and engineering industries.
