Automatic titration solution

January 2005 Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring

Mettler-Toledo has introduced its DL50 Graphix titrator, which is a compact, easy to use and powerful titration solution for the laboratory and process environment where pH, acid/base, redox and other titrations are frequently performed.

The instrument has been designed to be user friendly with a number of features for this purpose. For instance there is a unique 'learn titration' function that helps to select the best titration parameters automatically without the user having to understand the theory involved. Titrants, sensors and calculation formulas can be selected from existing lists.

The large backlit graphic display enhances communication by displaying messages that provide feedback on the instrument's actions. During titration the signal-curve may be displayed in realtime, thus providing the user with visual confirmation that everything is proceeding as planned. On completion of titration a printed report is provided and details adhere to those required by all regulatory bodies. Additional manual functions pictogram keys allow direct and simple access to functions like dispensing, stirring and pH measurement.

The DL50 Graphix can be connected to a balance, sample changer, standard PC parallel or serial printer, personal computer and, via a PC keyboard, to a bar code reader.
