Lightweight toxic gas detector

The Riken Model SC90 toxic gas analyser is designed to detect the presence of small quantities of toxic gases within the following ranges:
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) 0-30 ppm
Carbon monoxide (CO) 0-300 ppm
Sulphur dioxide (SO2) 0-15 ppm
Chlorine (Cl2) 0-3 ppm
Nitrogen monoxide (NO) 0-100 ppm
Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) 0-15 ppm
Available from AFH Devers, the SC90 uses an electrochemical cell for detection, is microprocessor-controlled and incorporates an internal diaphragm pump for sample drawing. The concentration readout is shown on a self-illuminated LCD and is selectable for continuous measurement, averaged or peak-hold. Response time is less than 30 s.
The detector is powered by alkaline batteries (Nicad cells optional), incorporates audible/visual alarms, will operate within ambients of -10 to +40°C, measures 200 x 800 x 142 mm and weighs only 1,9 kg.
