PLC message display unit

Mimic Crafts now offers the Messenger 256, a PLC message display unit housed in an IP65 panel mount enclosure (DIN 144 x 72 m). The display is highly visible with 10 mm characters and software controlled backlighting.

The Messenger can display up to 256 messages of 32 characters each. This one unit can replace 256 pilot lights and requires only eight PLC outputs, offering a significant cost saving in parts, labour and PLC outputs. Messages can also be upgraded at any time.

The messages are pre-entered via an easy-to-use Windows programme on any PC. They can then be displayed on command of an 8-bit binary signal from a PLC or other logic source. This unit has proved extremely useful to show alarms, PLC step position, machine status, instructions etc.
