A low cost pressure transducer for hygienic applications, such as in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries, is now available from instrumentation specialist, Endress + Hauser.
The Cerabar T PMP 135 pressure transducer is designed for measuring absolute and gauge pressures, up to 4 MPa, in gases, vapours, liquids and dust. Compact and well engineered, the transducer comes with hygienic design according to 3A guidelines, high overload and long-term stability, and flush-mounted process connections with metal diaphragms. To guarantee health safety, all materials in contact with the process are manufactured from 316L stainless steel with a surface quality Ra less than/equal to 0,8 µm. Cerabar T PMP 135 can also be supplied with 3.1.B inspection certificate as optional.
With a 4 to 20 mA output signal, the transducer exhibits non-linearity of 0,5% and long-term drift of 0,15% per annum. Permissible process temperature ranges from -25 to +100°C, and as high as 135°C for a maximum of 1 hour.
