Instrumentation company, Endress+Hauser, has made its first donation to Cotlands. Presenting a cheque of R25 000 to the organisation, E+H marketing manager Grant Joyce said that the donation was in keeping with the company's global policy of supporting the local communities that formed its client-base.

"E+H South Africa has made the decision to support education and HIV/AIDS organisations in our local communities," Joyce elaborated. "We believe that these are the two issues that are of the utmost importance to the long-term survival of the continent. Our co-sponsorship of the Dr Georg Endress training facility at the Tswane South College in February this year saw our rollout of the first part of this sponsorship initiative.
Today's donation to Cotlands is only the first, as we plan to remain a long-term sponsor of this worthy cause."
Founded in 1936, Cotlands was originally established as a care centre for unwed mothers and their infants, but in the last decade the organisation has evolved into a shelter for abused, abandoned and HIV-positive terminally ill children from birth to nine years of age.
