The new compact absolute multiturn encoders from Kübler are believed to be the smallest multiturn encoders on today's market. Kübler's integrative technology design has produced an encoder with 58 mm diameter and 40,5 mm depth, including flange. These absolute encoders are now smaller than most common incremental encoders. Hollow shafts up to 12 mm in diameter simplify the installation of the encoders and greatly reduce the corresponding costs. 25-bit resolution, output code, direction of rotation and reset of these encoders are easily programmable with Kübler's new PC-programming tool, Ezturn. Integrative technology also enables high shock resistance, up to 250 g/ms, and eliminates problems with EMC. The encoders are suitable for continuous operation up to 6000 rpm and withstand high levels of dynamic starting and braking changes without any increase to wear and tear.
