Modular air service-unit series

April 2004 Maintenance, Test & Measurement, Calibration

The need for an industrial air filter/regulator series, which could be configured to specific requirements, has now been met by Festo through the release of its innovative MS-series of compressed-air preparation modules.

Compact design, ease-of-installation and availability in a wide range of variants and functions allow the MS-series to open the door to many applications in all kinds of industries. The MS-series provides a complete and comprehensive product family, which includes regulators, normal, fine and micro filters from 40 µm to 0,01 µm, valves, branching modules, lubricators and air dryers in grid dimensions of 40 and 62 mm. Of particular interest to food-industry users will be the activated carbon filters and membrane dryers for high classes of air purity.

The large number of compatible modules available makes the MS-series suitable for use as a standard filter series across a broad range of applications and industries. There is also a strong emphasis on flexible installation - all individual modules can be combined together without limitation. This allows the perfect solution to be created for every application, while reducing the need for component stocks and simplifying ordering to only one product series. In addition to being neat, tidy and visually pleasing, the compact nature of this series also saves a great deal of space, contributing to overall cost-effectiveness.

In addition to the 11 standard combinations on offer, other combinations of assembly can be put together by the user for easy creation of custom solutions. Once the user has perfected this configuration, it can be ordered as standard using a single part number.
