Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring
Ametek has introduced the ProLine Series of process mass spectrometers for fast and reliable multiport, multicomponent process analysis. Capable of realtime process monitoring of up to 32 components, the analysers have a detection range from 1 ppm to 100% and provide clean mass separation while delivering good sensitivity and stability across the whole mass range.
Automatic calibration and verification maintains the performance of the analyser and allows it to quantify the amount of gas species in multicomponent samples. With fully automatic operation, ProLine provides unattended analysis of process streams and calibration gases. External process parameters can be used to trigger events, while the user-definable data presentation allows the user to set up displays and outputs for individual application needs.
Compact in design, ProLine automatically handles complex overlapping spectra. Data output is provided directly in concentration units with a high sample rate and data throughput. All electronics are contained in a single, easily replaced plug-in unit and no electronic calibrations are necessary, as the electronics will mate with any analyser head. Self-diagnostics and automatic device event logging ensure GMP compliance, and modem support is available for additional factory diagnosis and troubleshooting.
The sampling system can be configured for sampling gas pressures from 2 to 20 PSIG (14 to 138 kPa) with an option available that allows sampling of sub-atmospheric pressure gases. Typical applications include, for example, fermentation/bioreactor off-gas analysis, fuel cell research and development, semiconductor process exhaust gas monitoring and ethylene/ethylene oxide production. Ametek is represented locally by OEN Enterprises. The ProLine comes complete with multiport valve switching, inlet manifold, and turbomolecular pumping package.
