GLI has produced a series of inexpensive loop-powered indicating transmitters, available from PREI Instrumentation. They have been designed for either pH/ORP, conductivity (contacting or electrodeless), flow or dissolved oxygen, and can be panel mounted, surface mounted, or integrally mounted on a GLI sensor.
The main features of these instruments are their low price, compact size, NEMA 4X rating, and their menu-guided operation for set-up, calibration and operation. The LCD display shows the measured parameter, the temperature and the 4 to 20 mA analog output signal, and the power supply can be 2, 3 or 4-wire connected. They are CE compliant, approved for hazardous areas, and the calibration settings are protected by a pass code. These easy-to-use GLI transmitters have become well established in many industries where PLCs or scada systems are used to control plant.
