A locally manufactured maximum demand meter from Timecount measures instantaneous and maximum demand currents in a 3-phase system for 1 A or 5 A CT ratios. This panel mount 96 x 96 mm Model MDM96 is suitable for feeder panels and switchboards, motor control panels and distribution boards.
Measuring parameters are determined via scroll mode and displayed on the large LED display that can be read even in bright sunlight. The instrument monitors three voltages, phase to phase or phase to neutral up to 600 V direct. The unit is fully programmable for current transformers in ratios of 25 to 4000 times.
The model MDM96 operates off 110, 220 and 400 V a.c. power supply at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz. Accuracy is to class 1. As the meter is designed and manufactured in South Africa, cost advantages apply in comparison to imports.
