Non-contact moisture measurement provides a new approach to production and quality control. Sensitive materials, eg, soft moving, elastic, sterile or sticky, previously considered difficult or even impossible to measure, can now be measured precisely and accurately.
The fast response of the non-contact portable moisture measuring system allows instantaneous measurement of the product being investigated. The measuring principle is based on the tried and tested near-infrared technique, and covers a measuring range of 0-20%. Indication is by means of an LCD 3½ digit display and the mass of the instrument including optical fibre sensor is a mere 650 g. Energy supply is via rechargeable battery including 220 V, 50 Hz battery charging unit.
