RET Automation Controls is looking for system integrators countrywide with experience in vision systems, to be appointed as official distributors of Banner's new full-function vision sensors.
Released to the United States market in June 2002, PresencePlus Pro is now available in South Africa. It provides advanced, camera based visual inspections. Banner has transformed costly, complex machine vision systems into a simple, easy-to-use and affordable sensor that opens up new possibilities in real world applications. The sensor captures images and analyses them using one or more vision tools to generate judgement results.
With minimal knowledge of vision systems, users can quickly set up an inspection that correctly tests and rejects bad parts on a production line. Set-up is done using a remote PC with an Ethernet connection, after which inspections are stored in the system and can be run without any need for the PC.
PresencePLUS Pro inspects multiple features simultaneously and adjusts for both translational and rotational variation. The locate and pattern find tools are used to 'find' the inspection point. Five vision tools (grey scale, blob, edge, object and pattern count) are used to perform 'image analysis'. Finally, two analysis tools (measure and test) are used to evaluate the results of the vision tools.
System integrators interested in this exciting new product will be offered the one-day 'introduction training' on the PresencePLUS Pro system free of charge. Those who then wish to become 'authorised Banner vision integrators' will undergo intensive training on all of Banner's vision products.
