Memocal CERTO multifunction calibrator

December 2013 Maintenance, Test & Measurement, Calibration

The Memocal CERTO (Documenting Process Calibrator) is a hand tool for calibration maintenance and troubleshooting of virtually all the control process instrumentation.

The calibrator can be also be used as a multichannel datalogger for electrical and temperature signals. The graphic mode allows users to display the trend and the replay function allows an electrical signal to be generated using the stored data. The DataCal PC software allows data storage in a hard-disk.

The instrument can be used as a temporary signal converter replacement. Any input signal (electric or pressure) can be converted into a 4–20 mA output. The galvanic insulation between the input and output channels also allows the use of this feature on the process. The unit can store and recall up to 10 complete instrument configurations.

Transmitter calibration

The Memocal CERTO can be configured to manage the check and the calibration of any pressure and temperature transmitter. The wide display lets users display the input and output values and to select the right units for the transmitter under test. The measuring circuit is also able to power the loop for a direct connection with the transmitter under test.

Software

The software has been designed to be used in industries where there are both laboratory and maintenance requirements. Its Windows software is designed to plan, manage and document all the calibrations and the certifications of the process instrumentation. Other features include:

* Automatic procedure run.

* Built-in communication with documenting calibrators.

* Traceable and editable calibration documents.

* Database backup ability.

* Simultaneous certification of more than one temperature sensor.
