Three-phase input DIN rail power supply
December 2012
Electrical Power & Protection
Mean Well has introduced its new industrial power supply, the TDR-960 series ultra slim three phase input DIN rail mount units. Featuring 340-550 V AC three phase input range, TDR-960 can operate off only two phases in the event of a phase failure. The slim design helps save space on the rail, while the high efficiency responds to the need for energy efficient systems.
TDR-960 series possess efficiency up to 94,5% and can be full load operated using only free air convection cooling from -30 to 50°C ambient temperature (or up to +70° with suitable power derating). Built-in active PFC function meets the harmonic current limitations of EN61000-3-2. In addition, the overload protection designed as constant current limiting and delay shutdown, allows critical inductive or capacitive loading conditions. Other standard functions include DC OK relay contact alarm output, front panel LED indicator, front panel DC voltage adjustment, paralleling function, as well as protection for short-circuit, overload, over-voltage and over temperature. The supplies comply with UL/CB/CE certificates and also meet the EMC requirements of heavy industrial immunity level (EN61000-6-2). Suitable applications include industrial control system, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation, electro-mechanical applications and any installations with fanless and low noise requirements.
