Primary current injection test system

Electrical Power & Protection
The Programma ODEN AT is an advanced primary current injection test system to simplify testing in all types of switchgear and CT commissioning, ground grid, circuit breakers and more. It is also used to test the transformation ratio of current transformers and for other applications that require high variable currents.
The system consists of a control unit together with one, two or three current units. There are three versions of the current unit: S, X and H. The S and X current units are identical except that the X unit has an additional 30/60 V output. The H unit is rated for even higher current. All parts are portable, and the ODEN AT can quickly be assembled and connected. This versatile portable test set can generate currents ranging from a few hundred amps to about 21 000 A. It is modular and carriage-mounted and is easy to move about as each module is light enough to be lifted by one person.
The clearly marked front control panel is divided into sections. There are a number of pre-defined settings for frequently encountered applications. It is easy to use as any test can be repeated by simply pressing a single button.
The built-in timer controls injection times, and injection can be stopped by using an external voltage or an external contact. Momentary injections can be provided easily by pressing a button, and pulse trains can be generated for which both pulse and pause times are user-selectable. A hold function that freezes the display and momentary injection enables the current to be set without needless heating. Settings can be made using only 1/30 of the output current. Current and time are presented in the digital display. A second measurement channel can be used to test an additional current or voltage.
Although ODEN AT was created primarily for switchgear testing, it can be used for testing in many different applications such as primary current injection and breaker; current transformers; polarity; resistance and impedance; automatic reclosers and sectionalisers; grounded systems; safety-ground devices; and heat runs.
