Call for speakers
December 2001
SAIMC
The SAIMC will be hosting a 'Bus Business Breakfast' on the last morning of Electrex 2002 (15 March 2002). Three presentations will be made, but the intention is to make the presentations different - not the usual 'vendor-driven' information. The topic of the presentations will be 'Practical applications of different fieldbus types in southern Africa'.
The presentations will consist of case studies of actual fieldbus installations in southern Africa - the speakers detailing the reasons for choosing the specific bus as well as giving an overview of the installation. Three bus-types will be examined by three different speakers.
What are we looking for?
Nominations for three different speakers. The nominees should be:
* Senior persons involved in the respective project/application.
* Able to give an eloquent 20 minute presentation on the topic.
* The speakers should not have a vested interest in the bus-type that they are presenting (eg may not be an employee of a bus vendor).
Benefits to be had by presenting at the breakfast
It is anticipated that many senior decision-makers from industry will attend this unique breakfast. Speakers will have an opportunity to showcase not only their own personal technical and presentation skills, but also the benefits that the company has achieved from adopting leading technologies.
Any queries or nominations should be directed to Graeme Bell
