The Zambia Branch undertook a site visit to Indeni Oil Refinery Petroleum in Ndola during May. Thirty-nine members that included student members from Northern Technical College (Nortec) led by process instrumentation lecturer, Enock Shikabeta, formed the delegation for the day.

The visit focused on an appreciation for the process instrumentation units being used at the facility included the following activities:
* Safety induction.
* Plant tour of the refinery and control room.
* Instrumentation work shop visit.
The tour concluded with a brief talk about the instrumentation and automation systems by the head of instrumentation department, Emmanuel Nyirenda. The members enjoyed themselves and look forward to more of these educational site visits and technical presentations.
