SAIMC: Secunda branch

May 2013 SAIMC

As the Secunda branch has decided to dedicate the Technology Evenings this year to valves, it is proud to report that two successful evenings have come and gone so far.

In February David van Eeden gave an introduction to valves, covering details like datasheets and requirements. This was very insightful as it was clear that David has been selecting and working with valves for many years.

For the technology evening in March, Mr. A Albert gave a great interactive session on the different types of valves. This was a solid base for the members who have attended and are going to attend future sessions.

The branch would like to thank both presenters, members are very happy with the contribution they made to broaden the knowledge base. Of course each evening ended with delicious food prepared by committee members Rickus Kriel, Pieter Zietsman and Brian Edwards. Thanks guys!

The next technology evening on the 9 May will be held at the WIKA offices in Trichardt. For any additional queries or to be added onto the distribution list please contact Kobus Reinecke at [email protected] or Johan Maritz at [email protected]
