Virtualisation is well established in the IT industry, delivering reduced PC hardware requirements, minimising the frequency and impact of operating system and hardware change, simplifying overall system management and improving availability, reliability and disaster recovery. At the next Technology Evening find out more about virtualisation and the key benefits and value that it can bring to a business. Some practical experience for builds and migrations of existing physical platforms to a virtual server will be shared. This will include validation of lower energy footprint and improved security and serviceability in the migration of physical platforms.

With 21 four ball teams entered, and beautiful weather (with only the erratic wind being a reality check for anyone getting too confident about the length and direction of their drives) the day was declared a success – both on the course and afterwards at the prize giving and 19th hole!
