Welcome back from your well deserved break in December. I would like to wish you all a year filled with health, wealth and happiness.
I look forward to our economy out-performing the European and American markets in the year ahead. With all the doom and gloom out there, now is the time for South Africans to prove themselves. This will require focus, dedication and passion to achieve, but for us, this is what we do all the time in everything we apply ourselves to.
The SAIMC will continue on its path of change. Most of you have heard my speech on change and why it is important, and I still maintain that change is vital in today’s environment. Continual evolution is the key to personal and business growth.
All the branches will be hosting their annual AGMs between January and March, so watch out for them and go and see what value your local committee delivered during 2008. The council AGM will also take place during this time and I would like to see as many of you as possible. Council is always on the lookout for new councillors, so come and speak to us, jump on board, participate and assist us in achieving the SAIMC vision: 'To be the institute of choice'.
