Johan van Jaarsveldt from Endress+Hauser was our last technology evening guest speaker at the Eskom marketing centre on 23 October titled: 'Can tank gauging be used in RSA as legal metrology?' Johan is the petrochemical industry manager who is responsible for inventory control systems and tank farm management. It was an excellent presentation and very informative. At the same time the wives got pampered – it was a suprise! Marie organised for the ladies to get temporary tattoos using an ink that can later be removed with an alcohol swab. Those that were naughty had intimate messages tattooed where only hubby could see them. How was that?
Cape Town has decided not to have a year-end function (too many parties on the go down there) so they will have a new year kick-off function for the branch with details to follow.
Please diarise the branch AGM which will be held on 12 February 2009.
