In October the two highpoints for the Durban branch were the outstanding achievement of J.J. Troup who earned the SAIMC award for the highest marks obtained by a student during the previous semester. Branch chairman, Kevin Mcelroy handed over the certificate and J.J. collected his prize from Vinesh Maharaj.

The second was the technology presentation by Warren Scott, business development manager Abacus automation who gave an interesting presentation on an innovative motion control solution his company has developed in conjunction with Exigo Motion Control.
