Long-range laser distance measuring sensor

May 2025 Sensors & Transducers

The MS-100A from Vepac is a long-range laser distance measuring sensor with a range of 150 to 1000 mm. This sensor excels in applications requiring extended measurement capabilities, such as quality control and logistics. Its durable design, paired with advanced features like analogue and digital outputs, ensures dependable performance and seamless integration into modern industrial systems.

The MS-Series sensors deliver exceptional distance measurement capabilities ensuring precise and reliable detection of even the smallest objects. These sensors guarantee accuracy and stability making them ideal for applications requiring high precision in challenging environments.

Designed with advanced EMC characteristics, the MS-Series sensors are built to withstand electromagnetic and electrostatic interference. This robust feature ensures consistent and accurate measurements, even in electrically noisy industrial settings.

The MS-Series sensors are constructed with an automatic gluing process, providing superior sealing and durability. With an IP67-rated enclosure, these sensors can withstand immersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes, making them reliable in complex and harsh working conditions.

Equipped with a user-friendly operation panel, the MS-Series sensors simplify setup with dual keys and a high-visibility OLED digital display. This feature allows operators to view test data and make adjustments at a glance enhancing efficiency and usability. The MS-Series offers multiple output configurations, including switch and analogue current outputs, RS485 communication and flexible range settings (10mm, 30mm, 50mm, 70mm, 420mm and 850mm). This adaptability ensures these sensors meet the diverse needs of modern industrial applications.

With a built-in processor design, the MS-Series integrates measurement and control into one compact solution. This streamlined design reduces wiring complexity and saves valuable space, making it a practical choice for space-constrained setups.
